CNN dumps pro-Trump contributor over tweet

Aug 10, 2017 by DML

CNN ended it’s relationship with conservative commentator Jeffery Lord on Thursday after he tweeted “Sieg Heil!” to Angelo Carusone, president of the Soros-funded group called Media Matters for America.

Lord, who is one of the few pro-Trump personalities to appear consistently on CNN, tweeted the Nazi victory salute at Carusone, who is on a personal crusade to take down top conservatives who appear on TV including, but not limited to, Sean Hannity.

As we reported earlier this week, Media Matters has launched an all-out campaign to bring down Hannity’s radio and TV shows by targeting his advertisers.  You can read about it by clicking here.

It’s important to note that before the exchange that took place today between Lord and Caruson, Media Matters had called for Lord’s firing from CNN in the past.

Here are portions of the article published on CNN regarding the release of Lord:

CNN severed ties with Jeffrey Lord on Thursday, hours after he ignited controversy by tweeting the words “Sieg Heil!” at a prominent liberal activist.

“Nazi salutes are indefensible,” a CNN spokesperson said in a statement. “Jeffrey Lord is no longer with the network.”

Lord was not immediately reachable for comment. Earlier in the day, he defended his tweet by saying he was “mocking a fascist.”

Lord, a former Reagan administration staffer, had been one of CNN’s best-known commentators. He was the first explicitly pro-Donald Trump commentator to join the network, back in August 2015, two months after Trump entered the GOP primary race. At the time Lord was a counterweight to CNN’s other conservative commentators, who were all dismissive of Trump’s candidacy.

DML: After mentioning that the network has a dozen or so pro-Trump commentators, they said Lord stuck out among the pack.  The article then continues:

Lord, a columnist for The American Spectator, has been harshly critical of the activist he tweeted at, Angelo Carusone, and the liberal group of which Carusone is president, Media Matters for America.

Lord and Carusone have had many sharp disagreements. Media Matters has repeatedly condemned Lord and criticized CNN for employing him as a commentator.

Earlier this week the two men got into another entanglement on Twitter, specifically over Media Matters’ past financial support from George Soros.

Carusone told Lord that one of his columns was “full of lies” and said “Soros gave us one donation one time…in 2010.”

DML: CNN mentions that Lord referred to Media Matters as fascists and bigots in a Thursday column he wrote for the American Spectator.  Lord also mentioned that Media Mattters has been targeting Sean Hannity by attacking his advertisers.  The article then continued:

Lord tweeted the column at Carusone, who responded, “Your headline has a mistake in it.” Carusone asked, “Why do you expect anyone to take you seriously when you don’t take yourself seriously.”

Lord’s response was “Sieg Heil!”

The tweet caused a Twitter storm. There was renewed criticism both of Lord, personally, and of CNN for having him on the payroll.

Carusone tweeted on Thursday afternoon and said “CNN does not seem to hold Jeffrey Lord to any kind of standard.”

DML: CNN then points out that despite heavy criticism from people on Twitter, Lord did not backtrack from the Nazi reference, noting that he wrote: “Why would I delete something that mocks the Fascists at Media Matters Fascists?”

In the end, people on social media are now claiming CNN caved to the pressure of George Soros and Media Matters and thus, confirmed what President Trump and Sean Hannity say about the news network on a daily basis.

Media Matters received a reported $1,ooo,ooo from Soros years ago after a story went viral that stated Soros was behind the project. Soros at the time flatly denied the allegations, but in retaliation, donated the million dollars to the group.

The Media Matters website could not be more open in terms of stating its sole objective. It is designed to smear conservatives who appear on TV and radio. They have a special hatred for those who appear on Fox News, and continue to put out false information about conservatives, including yours truly.

Here’s a title from an article they published about one of my appearances in which I referred to the number of illegal aliens in the U.S.:

On Fox, Discredited Anti-Immigrant Filmmaker Triples Number Of Undocumented Immigrants In The U.S.

In the article, they write:
“Fox hosted Dennis Michael Lynch, a discredited anti-immigrant filmmaker, to push the myth that there are 30 million undocumented immigrants in the United States. Recent research shows the actual number — 11.3 million — is about one-third of Lynch’s claim and is down from previous years.”

Discredited?  Who discredited me?  Furthermore, there are numerous reports stating the 11.3M number of illegal aliens is false.

In another article they write:
“Lynch’s Films Have Been Heavily Promoted By Hate Groups. Lynch’s two previous anti-immigrant films, They Come to America I & II, were heavily promoted by the Federation For American Immigration Reform (FAIR), an organization the Southern Poverty Law Center has designated as a hate group.”

Keep in mind FAIR did not “promote” my films.  I was an guest expert at one of their radio row events where I was invited to speak with radio stations about immigration.  Second, I have never been deemed a hater,  but I guess that doesn’t matter. Second, and more importantly, anyone who watches my films knows there isn’t anything anti-immigrant about them. The films embrace legal immigration. The films highlight the costs of illegal immigration. A big difference between the two for people with intelligence.

A few things to note about the Southern Poverty Law Center. Information provided by conservative writer, Ben Shapiro:

1)  The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) recently classified the organization White Lives Matter as a hate group, but refused to apply the same classification to Black Lives Matter.

2) According to National Review‘s Charles Cooke, who pressed the SPLC as to why they weren’t tracking the Occupy Wall Street movement after a group affiliated with the movement plotted to blow up a bridge in Cleveland, Ohio. After a back-and-forth with a male representative from the SPLC, Cooke got the representative to admit: “We’re not really set up to cover the extreme Left.”

3) In 2014, the SPLC actually listed Dr. Ben Carson under their “Extremist Files” list.

4) The FBI removed the SPLC as a “resource” in 2014 for their “hate crime Web page.” The FBI refused to comment on it, but according to The Blaze, the move came “after 15 conservative groups lobbied Attorney General Eric Holder and FBI Director James Comey to end the endorsement.”

Phil Mudd’s bizarre on-air comments fluster Jake Tapper

CNN Analyst on Trump: "The Government's Gonna Kill This Guy"

Aug 11, 2017

CNN counterterrorism analyst and former CIA agent Philip Mudd said on air “the government’s gonna kill” Donald Trump because he disrespected the deep state.

Mudd subsequently clarified that he meant the phrase metaphorically, but the comments have caused alarm amongst Trump supporters.

“Let me give you one bottom line – as a former government official, the government’s gonna kill this guy,” said Mudd.

“He defends Vladimir Putin, there are State Department and CIA officers coming home and at Langley and in Foggy Bottom CIA are saying, this is how you defend us?’” Mudd added.

CNN host Jake Tapper subsequently gave Mudd a chance to clarify his comments, remarking, “Obviously when you’re talking about killing you’re using that as a metaphor.”

“Well obviously yeah,” responded Mudd, before going on to say, “People talk about the deep state, when you disrespect government officials who’ve done 20 or 30 years, they’re gonna say ‘really – Vladimir Putin sends officers home and you support him before you support us?’”

Mudd’s clarification was odd because of his reference to the “deep state” immediately after he talked about the government killing Trump.

As we have exhaustively documented, talk of a deep state coup against Trump has been doing the rounds for months.

Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne recently claimed that he was told by a senior Republican Congressman that there was a plot to “remove Trump suddenly from office”. Browne said the plan was to “take the president out,” by a method other than impeachment or indictment.

In comments made during the Aspen Security Forum, former CIA Director John Brennan said that if the White House tries to fire special counsel Robert Mueller, executive branch officials should “refuse to carry out” that order, which is effectively a call for a coup.

Last month, Rush Limbaugh also told his audience, “There is a coup underway, being led by the media with accomplices in the Democrat Party and a number of international players, to reject the outcome of the election, to undermine the presidency of Donald Trump, and, if the wish list were realized, to get rid of him.”

Meanwhile, CNN has dispensed with pro-Trump commentator Jeffrey Lord because he offended a leftist on Twitter by making reference to fascism and Nazis, something that leftists do every single day.
