Charlie Gard Dies: Victim of Culture of Death

After months of a desperately tiring battle, baby Charlie Gard’s life has come to a heartbreaking and disconcerting end.

The nightmarish legal battle fought by London couple Chris Gard and Connie Yates for their son was brought to a halt on Friday, after the 11 month old was removed from life support.

Born with the rare genetic disease, Mitochondrial DNA Depletion Syndrome, Charlie was facing probable brain damage and continued weakening of the muscles. Having admitted him to London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) for children to find that, not only was the well known facility unequipped to provide treatment for their child, but in favor of ending Charlie’s life, the parents sought help elsewhere.

Finding a U.S. physician, not only highly trained in Mitochondrial diseases, but also willing to provide for the child an experimental treatment that had already proven effective in other patients, the hopeful couple raised over $1.6 million dollars in private donations from around the world using social media. However, the London Hospital whose motto is “The child first and always”, ironically refused to release Charlie to the care of his parents, claiming the child to be irreparably brain damaged and decrying his right to “die with dignity.”

Following the case for months, supporters from around the world watched in disbelief as the parental rights of this couple continued to be diminished and held inferior to the unethical and absurd arguments of GOSH and rulings of multiple courts. However, the determined parents, full of love and commitment, refused to give up and continued to receive assistance in their fight.

Part of this assistance came to light in a statement made by GOSH announcing that “two international hospitals and their researchers have communicated to us as late as the last 24 hours that they have fresh evidence about their proposed experimental treatment.”

With this new information came the consent to a new hearing, where it would be decided, yet again, whether or not it would be in Charlie’s best interest to receive the treatment. The hearing paved the way for more testing as the U.S. physician and professor of neurology, Dr.Michio Hirano, was permitted to travel to the London Children’s hospital and examine Charlie for himself.

Much emotion ensued as the examination and the new MRI scan showed, indeed, no irreversible brain damage, as was claimed by GOSH. However, it unfortunately showed severe and irrevocable muscle damage — damage that could have been spared had the baby been treated in time.

In her statement to the High Court on Monday, Yates lamented, “There is one simple reason for Charlie’s muscles deteriorating to the extent they are in now — TIME. A whole lot of wasted time. Had Charlie been given the treatment sooner he would have had the potential to be a normal, healthy little boy”.

Though Yates noted in her statement that “the American and Italian team were still willing to treat Charlie after seeing both his recent brain MRI and EEG performed last week,” the couple, regrettably, concluded that Charlie’s quality of life would not be sufficient. Therefore, in the same court hearing on Monday, Gard and Yates announced their final resolution to end their battle and remove their son from his life support, saying that they would “let [their] beautiful little Charlie go,” lamenting that it is “the hardest thing we’ll ever have to do.”

Though it is true that no one should decide when an innocent person should die, Charlie’s parents — living in the unnatural chaos found in the culture of death — should only bear so much of the blame. Regarding their decision, Yates admitted, “We are struggling to find any comfort or peace with all this.”

In one last effort for normalcy and privacy with the son they would soon be separated from, the parents requested to bring Charlie home to die, rather than leave him in the impersonal hospital or in a hospice. “We just want some peace with our son, no hospital, no lawyers, no courts, no media, just quality time with Charlie away from everything to say goodbye to him in the most loving way,” stated Yates. But once again, the couple was denied this most basic request, as, on Thursday, the judge’s final order was to have Charlie removed from life support and into a hospice, where he, sadly, spent what was left of his brief God-given life.

Charlie Matthew William Gard, may your soul rest in peace.

Charlie Gard: Britain’s Shame and a Symptom of the Decline of Nations

July 29, 2017 By

Decent people around the world have pondered, prayed, labored and wept over the little angel we know as Charlie Gard. None have been more exasperated and tortured than his parents. Now, it seems our thoughts and prayers must shift to them as little Charlie’s time draws near.

In the event that some may not be fully familiar with Charlie Gard, an explainer by author Kaitlyn Schallhorn has been offered by Fox News that fairly covers his plight and the timeline of events.

The legal battle and all the confusion are indeed a symptom and a warning of the total failure of socialized medicine and the impotence of modern Britain’s MPs, Theresa May and the entire nation.

If there are any victors in the matter it would be the judges who have decided both in Britain and the European courts that Gard’s treatments should be abandoned. It is a victory that produced a defeat by adjudication for Charlie Gard.

It was once said that, “The sun never sets on the British Empire” who could have foreseen that the sun would eventually set, due to a penchant for socialism, in a world in deep decline. Charlie Gard is the prima facie evidence of that deep and tragic decline. After a glowing history that produced the likes of William Shakespeare, Winston Churchill, Princess Diana, Elizabeth 1, Oliver Cromwell and many others, the depth of the decline is well illustrated.

The judges ignored the offer of Donald Trump to bring Charlie to the U.S., therefore the order to pull the plug would be carried out by the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) which recently made arrangements for Gard to be transferred to a hospice facility.

While the Democrats and general discontents in the U.S. are busy attacking Trump, America and anything that is right and decent – this new President has shown himself to be a gentleman, a humanitarian and a lover of the ordinary citizens of any nation. But judges were busy playing with their own powers as Trump’s offer was waylaid for their own interpretation of expediency. It was an interpretation that dilly dallied until the hour had passed, all at Charlie Gard’s expense.

The late Rev David Wilkerson, the author of “The Cross and the Switchblade” was considered by most to be a true prophet in his time. In one of his early books (1974) called “The Vision” Wilkerson warned of a time when free nations including America would see a breakdown of the family. He said this would result in judges and courts being relied upon to make major decisions about children that traditionally would have been solved by parents.

Judges know nothing about the children and they make lousy substitutes for parents. They may be just and compassionate, but they are disconnected from those they decide for and if they should be liberal leaning judges, the result is always much worse.

Our dependence on judges is symptomatic of a breakdown in true authority; it is an outcropping of living apart from God.

God told men and women to be fruitful and multiply not hospitals, doctors and nurses and judges. Now that government is in charge we are all on a fast train to confusion. When problems arise in a lumbering bureaucracy people die waiting for authorities to act. The only people that acted right in this melee were Charlie Gard’s parents.

Nations have given their personal freedoms to rulers and the result is forthwith and terrible.

There remains only two questions, the first was asked by Dr. Michael Brown in a piece published on the Barbwire website in an article entitled “WHAT CHARLIE GARD TAUGHT US”.

Dr Brown asks, “By now, most all of us have heard that his parents gave up the fight for his life, stating that the window of opportunity for special treatment was closed. This must be an extraordinarily bitter pill for them to swallow, since it is their country’s health care system that refused to allow him to receive him any experimental treatment, thereby sealing his fate.

In the words of Charlie’s mother Connie, “We are so sorry we couldn’t save you. We had the chance, but we weren’t allowed. Sweet dreams baby. Sleep tight our beautiful little boy.”

What is Charlie saying to us?”

Dr. Brown’s answer is scathing, but not nearly as biting as the answer to the second question.

God also asks why we have chosen to ignore his commands and the plan and pathway he has decided for our own good. The answer is as follows.

“We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covereth us: for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.” (Jer 3: 25)

Notice: On Friday July 28, 2017 while writing this article little Charlie Gard died. We in America along with our President are saddened, but we know your suffering is now over. Farewell to you for now little angel we will see you again. Our deepest condolences to your loving parents.

The System raised its brutal fist for all to see in Britain today. But the System didn’t win because Baby Charlie’s earthly struggle completely illuminated all of its horror in 3-D.

Baby Charlie Shows The System For The Monster It Really Is

July 25, 2017 By

“The System” raised its brutal fist in the face of the world from Britain today.  It conceded, not in words, but in action how the parents of Charlie Gard had run out of time to secure outside help in trying to keep their baby alive.

The System proved its terrible might in demonstrating to a World On Watch how it is impossible for a vulnerable baby and his parents to survive after hitting the brick and mortar of its imperious walls.

Those who can plainly see how cheaply a progressive world values human life, join Charlie’s parents in their heartbreak.

Herman Cain writer Robert Laurie was so apt when he wrote:  “This story is so tragic.”

“I’m old enough to remember a time when doctors would spare no effort – no matter how difficult or experimental – to save the life of a child. That’s no longer the case.  Nowadays, it seems federally-run healthcare systems would rather its “problem cases” just shuffle off the mortal coil and spare “the system” a lot of headaches. Since single-payer care is the ultimate in rationed care, regulations and federal power trump life.”

“…At least that’s what happened to Charlie Gard, whose parents have ended their efforts to take their son to the United States for treatment.

“Gard will now be moved to pallative care where the NHS will guarantee he dies with dignity.”

“Dying with dignity” is the fairytale the Death Cult leave in their end-of-life script to cover for their guilt in the unnecessary deaths of innocents.

It’s first cousin to the meme used by abortion advocates who continue to call babies in the womb, “fetuses”.

“Essentially, what happened here is that the UK government “ran out the clock” by trapping these poor people in a maze of red tape.  Time was of the essence and whatever hope Charlie had dwindled as the days passed.  Now, the longshot treatment that was available in the U.S. will no longer work – so they’ve ended their efforts.” (Laurie)

“Grant Armstrong, representing Charlie’s parents, told the high court in London: “For Charlie, it’s too late, time has run out, irreversible muscular damage has been done and the treatment can no longer be a success.” (Guardian)

“He said the parents had made “the most painful of decisions, that only parents can make.”

“Armstrong said: “Charlie has waited patiently for treatment. Due to delay, that window of opportunity has been lost.”

Gard’s mother says the donations they collected to facilitate Charlie’s hail-Mary treatment will now be used to establish a foundation in his memory – one that will fight to save other babies with similar conditions.

“We’d like to save other babies and children because these medications have been proven to work and we honestly have so much belief in them. (Guardian)

“If Charlie doesn’t get this chance, we will make sure that other innocent babies and children will be saved.”

“Heartbreaking”. (Laurie)

“His bereft parents had fought with Great Ormand Street Hospital since January for their beloved 11-month-old-son to be flown to the U.S. for pioneering drugs to treat his rare strain of Mitochondrial disease. (Daily Mail, July 23, 2017)

“The parents of south-west London, are furious with GOSH for not letting Charlie try the therapy in December or January when he was a ‘relatively normal boy’.“

Let the bewigged High Court judges console each other over their after-work drinks tonight.

Let all the talking heads convince each other on the evening news that they were right and Charlie’s parents were wrong.

But that they would not allow Charlie the therapy when it could have done most good means few will ever look at Great Ormand Street Hospital in the same way.

“We are struggling to find any comfort or peace with all this, but one thing that does give us the slightest bit of comfort, is that we truly believe that Charlie may have been too special for this cruel world,” his mother Connie Yates said today.  (Daily Mail)

So difficult finding words to mitigate the cruelty of the world in which we live.

But there is also comfort that comes from knowing that it is the angels who will be rocking Charlie to sleep every moment between now and until he slips away; comfort in knowing that millions of babies killed each year in ‘legalized’ abortion go directly to the Creator’s Nursery in Heaven, and the biggest comfort of all in knowing that someday, no matter how far off in time, society will make the wholesale slaughter of babies illegal again.

The System raised its brutal fist for all to see in Britain today.  But the System didn’t win because Baby Charlie’s earthly struggle completely illuminated all of its horror in 3-D.
