Getting To The Root Of The Problem
March 3, 2017 By Rev Paul N. Papas II
Have you ever tried to fix a problem without knowing what the problem is? It’s like dropping your car off at the mechanic and giving him instructions to fix the car. The mechanic could give you a very expensive bill and still never fix the real problem. Unfortunately in life people and governments decide that something needs to be fixed, but never get to the heart of the problem so nothing gets fixed.
Most people would not construct a new home on quicksand, on a termite nest, or with rotted wood. Yet in life that is what many people have built their lives upon without even realizing it.
Governments have built programs upon quicksand, on a termite nest, or with rotted wood and wonder why they fail. Of course there have been several well-known government programs which were built with the idea that they will fail.
Long time readers know I am a student of history. In the 1600’s and 1700’s the usual source of information came from the Pulpit. The British tried to silence the Preachers in order to keep people uninformed as the British knew they could more easily control the population if the people only had the official Crown news. Those Preachers were called the Black Robe Regiment. There are still Preachers today who warn of various dangers. Sadly too many Preachers do not warn people, they prefer to deliver a feel good message.
“Brethren, we came to this country to practice our religious liberties, and if we don’t get involved, we’re going to lose them.” –John Peter Muhlenberg, 1777
The Black Robe Regiment…..arose from the pulpits across the colonies during the Revolutionary War. The movement had its beginnings with Reverend Peter Muhlenberg in 1776 concluding his Sunday sermon by declaring, “In the language of the Holy Writ, there was a time for all things, a time to preach and a time to pray, but those times have passed away. There is a time to fight, and that time is now coming!” Muhlenberg then removed his black robe revealing a full military uniform. Marching to the rear of his church he declared, “Who among you is with me?” On that day 300 men from his congregation stood up and joined Muhlenberg in the fight for liberty. (1)
Indeed Preachers are called to warn people.
As I witnessed the current events, such as the California dam problem, the violent protesters, and the anti-semitic attacks, and the rise of the money first drug companies I began looking for the root of the problems and real solutions. I don’t have all the answers but I will share some of my research. Yes, we can start at the battle between good and evil in the Garden and the forbidden fruit. However I was looking for something more current.
If someone or a group goes to the trouble of printing and passing out their plan and you see that plan unfold it would be a good thing to study the plan. The plan being implemented is no longer a theory. We shall know them by their fruits.
What I found was quite eye opening.
Karl Marx stated with a very small group As a university student, Karl Marx (1818-1883) joined a movement known as the Young Hegelians, who strongly criticized the political and cultural establishments of the day. He became a journalist, and the radical nature of his writings would eventually get him expelled by the governments of Germany, France and Belgium. In 1848, Marx and fellow German thinker Friedrich Engels published “The Communist Manifesto,” which introduced their concept of socialism as a natural result of the conflicts inherent in the capitalist system. Marx later moved to London, where he would live for the rest of his life. In 1867, he published the first volume of “Capital” (Das Kapital), in which he laid out his vision of capitalism and its inevitable tendencies toward self-destruction, and took part in a growing international workers’ movement based on his revolutionary theories (2)
Marx and his followers advocate the destruction of society as we know it with government being the highest authority, their god.
In 1963 at a congressional hearing a former RBI agent who wrote a book called The Naked Communist testified that communists had 45 stated goals to takeover. Many of them have been achieved. The violent paid protesters are carrying out Marx’s plan http://www.commieblaster.com/news/communist-takeover-plan.html , https://archive.org/details/TheNakedCommunistByWCleonSkousen
For Marx to succeed the family must be destroyed. Women work supporting the government’s mission. Men are removed from the family and feminized. Children belong to the government. Individualization is punished and group think is the norm. Those who don’t fall in line are declared mentally ill and at the minimum are forced to take a variety of medications and under the control of the government doctors. There is no free speech and the Bill of Rights are abolished in practice.
The movie CULTURAL MARXISM: The Corruption of America does a good job of discussing Marx’s plan and how it is being implemented.
Is all hope lost, no! This is still a battle of good verse evil. Some years ago I wrote the Introduction to a book titled There Is Still Power in the Blood (3) which shows you how to battle the devil.
Paul Harvey did an excellent broadcast titled If I where the devil
There is still time to win this battle now that the root of the problem has been identified. It is now time to work on fixing it. We all need to do our part in saying no to those who are trying to destroy our country.
Next time you see those violent protesters on the news you’ll know the root of the problem.
Fake Justice and the Rise of a New Religion
Post-modern progressives, contrary to popular belief, are not irreligious. They worship at the altar of government power, lifting the chalice of “diversity” and eating the bread of “tolerance.”
Under their arms they carry certain portions of the U.S. Constitution, plus copies of court rulings that are considered sacred and “settled” —- but only if they advance progressive notions of progress. All others are open to revision.
For example, progressives have pledged to overturn the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United ruling that recognizes the individual right to collective political speech in unions and nonprofits.
But the same progressives tell us that the Obergefell same-sex “marriage” ruling in 2015 is “settled law” and thus in stone. The same goes for the Roe v. Wade ruling in 1973 that legalized abortion in all 50 states regardless of what happens in state legislatures or at the ballot box.
The progressive divines claim to value individual liberty above all, selectively citing the First Amendment. They ignore altogether the Second Amendment, which they regard as the crazy uncle in the constitutional attic.
Paying lip service, progressives sometimes accord religious liberty a degree of constitutional protection nearly equal to pornography and obscenity, the free exercise of which constitutes an important part of their rites. For anyone paying attention, their cultural agenda has been obvious. Decades ago, C.S. Lewis remarked that the goal of the left is to “make pornography public and religion private.” Except, of course, for the progressive brand. And they are almost there.
Concerning religion itself, progressives draw sharp exceptions. They give a pass to more recent faiths in America such as Islam, for example, while putting public expressions of Christianity and sometimes Judaism, whose tenets constitute America’s foundational values, under a magnifying glass.
In recent years, progressives have used the courts to establish newer classes of protected behaviors that effectively trump the explicit constitutional protection of religion. What is not written takes precedence over what is. You’ve heard of fake news? Welcome to fake justice.
A prime example is the Washington state Supreme Court’s unanimous ruling last week against a Christian florist, Barronelle Stutzman, who declined to service a same-sex wedding, citing conscience reasons. Like the New Mexico photographers, the former Colorado bakers, and the former Iowa wedding venue owners before her, the 72-year-old grandmother was told to comply or face ruinous legal costs.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which represented the plaintiff, a longtime homosexual customer named Robert Ingersoll, argued that he had a right to force Mrs. Stutzman to service his ceremony.
The back story is important. Mrs. Stutzman has never refused to sell flowers to Mr. Ingersoll or any other customers. In fact, she counted Mr. Ingersoll and others among her friends and employed some openly homosexual people. She said she still would sell him flowers tomorrow. But helping to facilitate a ceremony celebrating what her faith calls sin was a bridge too far. She suggested three other florists who could do the job, to no avail. The Washington high court ruled that Mr. Ingersoll’s claim of discrimination based on “sexual orientation” cancels Mrs. Stutzman’s claim to religious liberty. If allowed to stand, this is an extremely dangerous precedent that paints a target on every Christian-owned business. Which is the whole idea.
Chai Feldblum, an Obama appointee to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, famously declared that civil rights are “a zero sum game.” Somebody wins, somebody loses. During a public forum, she was more specific: “Gays win, Christians lose.”
Indeed. When “sexual orientation” laws began in the 1970s, most Americans regarded them as little more than extensions of current civil rights laws to include more groups. What could it hurt? They had no idea that the phrase would effectively supplant religious liberty whenever the two collide.
The Supreme Court’s Obergefell ruling was followed by a slew of heavy-handed policies imposed by the Obama administration that favor all things sexual over religious liberty. These include the Corporal Klingerization of the military, penalties against military chaplains for defending biblical morality, and an order by the Justice and Education departments to America’s public schools to allow boys and men who think they are female into girls’ locker rooms and restrooms. This past week, the Trump administration rescinded the order, setting off progressive howling from Maine to Seattle.
As Mrs. Stutzman’s plight reveals, we are not witnessing a civil rights expansion but a severe contraction of religious liberty and an entirely different worldview —- a new religion —- imposed on an unsuspecting populace.
The only cure for this existential threat is to assert strongly the unalienable rights granted to us by nature and nature’s God. We need to work and pray so that real justice replaces the fake variety.
