President-elect Donald Trump is mocking Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for his press conference supporting Obamacare on Wednesday.
“The Democrats, lead [sic] by head clown Chuck Schumer, know how bad ObamaCare is and what a mess they are in,” Trump wrote on Twitter this morning. “Instead of working to fix it, they do the typical political thing and BLAME.”
Trump called Obamacare “a lie from the beginning,” specifically citing Democrat promises that people could keep their doctors and keep their existing health care plans.
“It is time for Republicans & Democrats to get together and come up with a healthcare plan that really works – much less expensive & FAR BETTER!” he concluded.
Schumer and congressional Democrats met with President Barack Obama on Capitol Hill on Wednesday to discuss the importance of blocking Republican efforts to repeal the law. During a press conference, Schumer denounced Republicans for trying to repeal the law and vowed that they would not help them replace it.
“The Republican plan to cut health care wouldn’t make America great again, it would make America sick again and lead to chaos instead of affordable care,” Schumer said.
Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich warned Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer against opposing President-elect Donald Trump too strongly because Schumer could face an outcome of what previous Trump opponents Jeb Bush and Hillary Clinton have.
“Schumer and Trump have known each other for many, many years,” Gingrich said. “And I think that the president frankly wants to shrink him and I would say to Sen. Schumer, if you look what happened to Jeb Bush, if you look what happened to Hillary Clinton, you should be very worried if Donald Trump decides to focus on you because so far the track record is pretty good. He can define you a lot better than you can define him.”

Rep. Louie Gohmert: Trump Will Use Twitter to Make Congress Keep Its Promises
On Thursday’s Breitbart News Daily, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) said he looked forward to President Donald Trump using old and new media to keep congressional Republicans focused on the most important issues.
“People are saying Trump needs to get off Twitter. I was concerned at first with all of the Twittering he did. But by golly, it gives him a way around the New York Times, straight to the people, to set the record straight,” Gohmert said.
“I look forward to the days when we pass something like a repeal of ObamaCare in the House, and send it to the Senate, and then Trump sends out, ‘Here are the Republicans who are not agreeing to keep their promises on what we promised, I promised, they promised. Here’s their names,’” he said.
“We’ve never had a President that did that before. I think we’re going to be able to get a lot more done having a President that will push the issue like that,” he predicted.
